Dr. (Mrs.) Umemezia Evelyn is an Associate Professor in the Human Resource Management Programme of the Business Administration department, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, Nigeria, whose services she joined in 2015. Prior to that time, she was a Chief Lecturer with the College of Education, Agbor, Delta State from the year 1996. She holds B.Sc degrees in Zoology (UNIBEN) and Accounting (Delta State University-DELSU), a PGDE (DELSU), M.Sc. (Bus. Edu) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, MBA and a PhD, from the University of Benin.

She is the Centre Leader of the Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project in the University of Benin and the incumbent Head of Business Administration Department. Dr. Umemezia is a member of The Academy of Management of Nigeria (TAMN). Her published research articles numbering over fifty (50) in local, national and international journals are focused mainly on human resource management, gender and general management issues within the Nigerian and African contexts. She has also attended several academic conferences both within and outside the country.
